In a desperate search for an advantage, the Drengin unwittingly discover and free the ancient precursor civilization known as the Dread Lords. Moreover, the Humans are rapidly spreading their influence across the galaxy, leading the Drengin to conclude that time is working against them. The Drengin fear the up and coming Humans from Earth because while the Humans claim to be diplomats and merchants, they also have seen evidence that Humans are lethal when it comes to war. The evil Drengin Empire is only held in check by the might of the ancient Arcean Empire, which is nominally allied to the fledgling Terran Alliance. In Galactic Civilizations II: Dread Lords, the galaxy is on the verge of war.

They were added in the expansion pack that was free to download with the patches. I know the control-U works but I haven't used the others. I copied and pasted this below to MS Word so the spell checker corrected a couple of words otherwise it is as per Citizen Elden. You need to enable the cheat codes on the left side of menu screen (where you load and save games). I did a search on "cheat" and here is what I found.
